Chat

The aquarium bar at the edge of your screen, plus reminders, briefs, and nudges.

The chat panel lives at the edge of the screen as a slim bar, by default under the notch at the top. Moving the cursor to it (or clicking it) expands the chat. It can be dragged to any screen edge or corner, pinned open, and resized.

Chat answers can include inline artifacts: small rendered widgets, charts, and tables when they carry the answer better than text.

What to ask

Chat is backed by everything Goldfish remembers, so questions like these work out of the box:

  • “what did I do yesterday”
  • “what was that article about pricing I read last week”
  • “who is the person I emailed about the Oslo trip”
  • “how much time did I spend on Project Acme this week”

Everything Goldfish captures stays on your device; the browsable version of what it has learned lives in Settings under Memory.

Reminders and scheduled prompts

Ask in chat and Goldfish sets it up: one-off reminders (“remind me at 15 to call Sara”), recurring prompts (“every Friday, summarize the week”), and interval checks. They fire as chat messages.

Briefs and nudges

A morning brief arrives around 8 with yesterday’s highlights and today’s focus, and an evening wrap around 16 with what moved and what’s unfinished. Between them, Goldfish occasionally nudges: a contextual tip, a spotted follow-up, or a suggestion, capped so it never becomes notification spam. Notifications land in the chat inbox if not caught live.

The desktop pet

A small goldfish swims on the desktop. It can be docked into the aquarium bar or float free (drag it out), and right-clicking it offers dock/undock and quit.
